A very inventive use of science. Latest paintings of Van Gogh’s were characterized by strong turbulent motion as in the famous Starry Night painting. The incredible thing is that the turbulence in the figure is a very close representation of a real turbulence — such the one appearing in this image of a distant star taken by the Hubble telescope.
